As a follow up to my piece a few weeks ago on Anaconda-Kaye Louisville Slugger bats, I thought I would share this bit of information on Cooper bats as well. The advertisement tells the story, but what I would like to make a couple of comments (not that I get paid by the word).

First it appears that the Cooper bats may not have been manufactured for retail sale originally and as such, these bats are not likely to have the weight variances issues as some of the Louisville Slugger products from the same time frame. Unlike the Louisville Slugger offerings which focused on period star players, the Cooper list has a number of players that are not “household names” by any stretch of the imagination.

Additionally, this list as presented also provides some information about what players Cooper was making bats for around 1991.

As always, collect what you enjoy and enjoy what you collect.
