MEARS had to cross the big pond and make arrangements to go to England to complete our recent signing with Star Wars legend Kenny Baker, AKA, “R2 D2”. A tumor on his ear slowed Mr. Baker down, but the iconic droid worked through the discomfort and completed the signing. This was my first signing with a major character from the George Lucas franchise, and I was very excited to add Mr. Baker to our Pop Culture Autograph Archives.
Per our agreement, he signed,

100 (16×20) photos (featuring Anthony Daniels, C3PO)
200 Vintage Topps Trading cards
Index cards and trading cards have been a staple in my signings because I have found that once slabbed/authenticated, collectors are more aggressive in adding them to their collections. We have many additional signings scheduled for 2014, including more actors from the original Star Wars trilogy. We will be providing additional updates at this site.
