Barkley jerseys can be found in our hobby, most with questionable lineage. This is the first documented Charles Barkley jersey evaluated by MEARS. Manufactured by Champion, this dual tagged jersey sports the “1993-94 Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Phoenix Suns” and the “Champion Size 52” tag. A large, near mint Charles Barkley 34 autograph appears on reverse (JSA). Jerseys exhibits light game wear, but the game use can definitively be attributed directly to Sir Charles.

Roman first met Charles at the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic. During the 1994 Charles Barkley Celebrity Golf tournament, our consignor was invited by Charles as the only credentialed media member able to attend. The event was exclusive to athletes and celebrities, and Rush Limbaugh was the guest speaker. As part of the fundraiser, Barkley consigned this 1994 road game worn jersey. His press credentials allowed him on the field during the week of the Super Bowl with both teams. Roman has been around Favre at both his Super Bowl appearances and interviewed him on his radio show. ¡§Favre is a great interview, and a tremendous competitor, one of the top three or four QB¡¦s of all time¡¨. Offered for sale is a very early golf scorecard signed in pencil by Michael Jordan. This Michael Jordan signed gold scorecard was a private round of golf played at a local hometown (Wilmington NC) course. Roman Gabriel III and his wife are from the same hometown as Michael. The scorecard is from the Cape in North Carolina, and dated 1986. A very early full pencil signature is found on the area of the scorecard. Jordan golfed 6 holes that day, and scored 6, 6, 5, 6, 6, and 4. A very early example of Jordan’s signature related to his golf passion. 1989 Michael Jordan Personally Worn Nike OG4 Game Shoes

Offered for sale is a pair of Air Jordan Original – OG 4 (IV) White Cement White / Black game shoes later used by Jordan for personal use. One cherished pair of sneakers, the Air Jordan Original 4 (IV) White / Black aka White Cements released in 1989, and at the time was thought of as an unusual shoe. But that didn¡¦t stop people from purchasing the $110 Air Jordan OG 4 (IV).

Roman Gabriel III, and his wife recall the visit to the North Carolina home. . Jordan presented this pair of game worn shoes to the children. These game worn shoes were a gift. But, this personal pair of size 13 Air Jordan IV¡¦s were favored by Jordan, he actually played an evening of tennis during one particular visit Then the shoes were officially retired! As you could imagine, he covered the court quite well!

Examination of the wear reveals more use than normally found on game worn shoes, and the use is associated with the evening of marathon tennis. From over 20 years of storage the sole has become loose from the bottom leather portion of the shoe, and there is some degradation of the rubber sole that has resulted in some missing materials. Mid 1985-95 Michael Jordan Personally owned and tournament used Custom Nike Golf Tour bag ¡V Earliest Known Example

Collectors have paid huge sums of money to own golf bags owned by JFK and Tiger Woods. Now, collectors may own Michael Jordan¡¦s very own custom-made Nike golf tour bag. Jordan¡¦s association with Nike is legendary, so it only makes sense his golf bag was supplied by the company. Our research also indicates this is the earliest known Michael Jordan golf bag to enter the market, and may have been issued to him during the 1985/86 season. During the timespan of 1985-1995, the Nike logo contained both the word ¡§NIKE¡¨ and the swoosh. According to the current consignor, Roman Gabriel III, and his wife the bag was first seen in 1989 and was used at their home course by Michael whenever he visited to play golf, and was used as his personal tournament bag for professional and amateur events such as the Michael Jordan Celebrity Golf Classic. One of Jordan¡¦s early personally used bags. His recollections are further confirmed by a Jordan signed and dated (1986) golf score card in additional lot).

¡§MICHAEL JORDAN, NIKE & SWOOSH SYMBOL¡¨ is embroidered in Tarheels blue on front of bag. An additional large Nike Swoosh in the same color is found on both ends. The zipper heads have been factory swapped with the letter M for Michael. The bag shows even consistent use, with no signs of abuse. Finally able to advance past the Detroit Pistons, Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls won their first of 6 World Championships during the 1990-91 season. As a Christmas present for his close friends, Michael and his wife Juanita gave this half-karat diamond pendant to Mrs. Gabriel. The pendant was housed in a custom cherry wood box with brass plate that reads, ¡§Christmas 1991, Juanita & Michael¡¨. The pendant itself is an exact replica of the 1991 Chicago Bulls World Championship ring. Manufactured from 14k gold with a half karat of diamonds. In addition, the original Michael Jordan wrapping paper is included that hid this Christmas gift. The reverse is inscribed, ¡§Marsha, Thanks, MJ¡¨. The classic Air Jordan IV (4) was released in 1989. Michael kept on playing in a confident and dominating way and won numerous honors and awards. The design, by Mr. Hatfield, wasn’t as revolutionary as the previous designs and kept a lot of the feeling from the third model. The Air Jordan shoes had started to get major popularity by now and sold out everywhere. With their popularity, this pair of game worn shoes was a gift to the kids from their very famous houseguest, brought as a present after a 1989 game. The shoes show the correct amount of game wear as expected to be found on game worn shoes. While being stored over the past 20 years, the rubber area of the sole where it connects to the bottom leather has begun to degrade. Some materials are missing, but shoes still display very well. Extremely large and bold signature is signed on this basketball. LOA from JSA authenticators. The signature is very early, and signed with a lot of detail. The marker used was very strong, and Michael left a near masterpiece like signature. This ball was signed for the kids in their home. The ball itself would only grade very good as there is some flaking of the Wilson manufactured rubber coating on several areas of the seems. When displayed, these areas are less noticeable. At the time, the will call attendant actually tried unsuccessfully to keep the Official Charlotte Hornets (home team) ticket envelope signed by Michael Jordan.
